COMPULSORY APPLICATION IN PERSON FOR VISAS


- All visa applications have to be lodged in person by any applicant aged 6 and over.

- Access to the visa section is by appointment only, via our website, with no exceptions.

- As the process requires taking the photo and the ten fingerprints of each applicant, it is no longer possible to lodge an application by post.

This rule does not apply to visa for African countries represented by this Consulat General. In this case, and in this case only, applications can still be sent by mail or via courrier agencies



LATEST UPDATES :


- As from 02/08/2010, Greece officially represents France in Adelaide, Melbourne and Perth to issue Schengen visas.

Therefore, applicants having their residence in Southern Australia, Victoria and Western Australia will lodge their application directly with the Greek Consulates in these cities. For any further information, please direct your enquiries to :

Visa Section telephone numbers are not available to the public.
Visa applicants should not attempt to use the emergency telephone numbers of the French Embassy or of the French Consulate-General. Duty officers are not able to assist.
We cannot provide information on the progress of visa applications by phone, fax or email. If any problem arises you will be contacted directly.
