C5 Call for Papers, Biomass derived pentoses: from biotechnology to fine chemistry (14-16 November 2010, Reims, France)
The term biorefining embraces a wide range of processes that are designed to transform biomass into a variety of products, including fuels, chemicals and materials. Developing the technologies that will underpin future biorefining is a key aspect of the current drive towards a sustainable biobased economy. These technologies will combine the best of chemistry and biotechnology in order to achieve the optimal use of biomass. The organisers of this event invite R&D and industrial players from Chemistry and Biotechnology sectors to join them in helping to shape future biorefining processes.
C5 Call for Papers (posters and oral presentations) related to the following topics:
Biosynthesis and modification in planta of arabinoxylans.
Technologies for biomass fractionation and separation processes.
Chemical routes for the transformation of biomass-derived pentoses into products.
Biotechnological transformation of biomass-derived pentoses into products.
Industrial applications for pentoses: update and future prospects.
