Visa for members of Religious Orders (Short and Long Stays)

This visa concerns members of Christian religious confessions only. For other religious confessions, please apply for a Schengen visa (depending on your nationality) or a Long Stay Visitor visa.

REQUIREMENTS PER APPLICANT

- 1 Short Stay Visa application form duly completed, dated and signed OR

- 1 Long Stay Visa application form duly completed, dated and signed

- 2 passport size photographs, one pasted on to the form

- 1 check-list duly completed

- 1 «Demande d’attestation OFII» with the first part « RUBRIQUES A REMPLIR LORS DE LA DEMANDE DE VISA » duly completed, if applying for a long stay visa only.

Original documents + 1 copy of :

- Valid passport

- “Formulaire unique”: this document has to be duly completed and signed (with official seal) by the appointed representative of the religious order or institute. Choose between Roman Catholic Church and Protestant Churches.

- Return tickets to France or full comprehensive travel itinerary issued by a Travel agent or an airline. If you intend to stay more than 11 months, a single ticket will be accepted.

Applications should be lodged in person at the Consulate-General of France in Sydney with all the requirements, in the order indicated above.

If you intend to ask for your passport to be returned by post, please provide a pre-paid, registered and completely filled out self-addressed envelope (preferably Platinum Express Post).

Processing time to obtain the visa: 2 weeks on average for a complete application
