Speech by the Ambassador at the French Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry [fr]
On the 15th of September in Sydney H. E. Christophe Lecourtier gave a speech detailing France’s foreign policy priorities and spoke about the upcoming presidential visit.
The Ambassador’s presentation highlighted the diplomatic policy of the French government with a strong focus on the economy, on President François Hollande’s upcoming visit to Australia, and on what this state visit will mean to French companies based in Australia. The Ambassador talked about:
The French’s government new and clear political agenda which emphasizes the contribution of French companies are making in Australia, and what the State will do in order to help them to regain their competitiveness.
The Presidential visit will be the occasion to formulate the French vision for its strategic partnership with Australia. The goal is to put forward the role that French companies can play in the future of Australia’s economic development, based on trust and shared knowledge.
