Promote French research and devlopment in Australia
To promote Australia’s scientific and technological capabilities in France
To facilitate scientific and technological cooperation between France and Australia
Our operating methods:
The Science and Technology section operates in direct collaboration with both French and AUstralian insitutions. These include, government departments, funding agencies, research agencies, universities, science and technologie academies, scientific associations and private companies.
Coordinate scientific and technological cooperation between France and Australia through the intermediary organisation Forum for European-Australian Science and Technology (FEAST)-France. We use this network to promote information exchange, to organise events in the science and technology field and to help develop research networks in specific fields.
Manage programs to finance cooperation between researchers from the two countries
Publish scientific publications pertaining to research in France and Australia
Creation of and participation in the FEAST network in close collaboration with the Alliances Françaises in Australia and AFAS (Australian-French Association for Science and Technology)
Managing funding initiatives such as FEAST between France and Australia
Development of joint supervision of theses between French and Australian institutions
The Science and Technology section works in close collaboration with the Embassy’s Education section to develop student exchanges between France and Australia (including supervision of theses). For more information, visit the Education section.
