For those who wish to study the French language before arriving in France, or for those who wish to simply study French but cannot afford to go overseas to do so, there are a number of official French and Australian institutions in Australia which provide French language courses at all levels and in various specialised areas.

NB: The Alliances Françaises also provide cultural activities and have available to its members a selection of books, magazines and videos.
