#GoodFrance 2016

Goût de France / Good France:
A unique opportunity to celebrate France!

Following the international success of last year’s inaugural Goût de France/Good France, Laurent Fabius, French minister for Foreign Affairs and International Development, wishes to once again hold this event and has confirmed that the Goût de France/Good France event will now take place on an annual basis on Spring Day, the 21st of March.

Registrations to participate in Goût de/Good France 2016 are open until the 17th of December 2015.

This year restaurants and chefs will be ask to construct their menu in the following manner:

• Apéritif and canapés
• Entrée
• Main(s)
• Dessert(*)
• French wine and champagne

*Two desserts may be served if the restaurateurs do not feel that they can provide cheese of sufficient quality.

Every chef is free to adapt their dishes to their customers and their products. In other words, if the 2015 edition promoted the ‘French style menu’, in 2016 the impetus is being put on recipes inspired by French know-how, which should showcase the main dishes.

In 1912, Auguste Escoffier started Les Dînersd’Épicure (Epicurean Diners): one day, one menu, served in cities around the world, to as many guests as possible. In 2016, Goût de/Good France takes the idea further, bringing all categories of restaurants together globally. This event will mark the first concrete demonstration of French cuisine’s recent listing in the “Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity” category by UNESCO, and its influence on the world.

To be part of the first Good France event - as well as have the opportunity for your restaurant to be advertised to a database of over 150,000 and part of a global communication plan - all you need to do is register.

To take the next step in your involvement you must register as a participating restaurant by December 17 2015. A panel of international chefs will validate the selection of participating restaurants and will make the list public in January 2016.
