ANZAC Day 2014 ceremony at the Embassy of France [fr]
On Friday 25 April 2014, the Embassy of France in Australia commemorated the 99th anniversary of the Gallipoli campaign in which more than 10,000 Australian and New Zealand soldiers lost their lives.
The ceremony was presided over by Cédric Prieto, Chargé d’affaires a.i. in the presence of representatives from the Australian and New Zealand Defence Forces as well the chairman of the Australian War Memorial.
Representatives from the National War Widows guild of Australia, the Association des Anciens Combattants de Canberra and the National Repatriation Commission were also be present as well as members of Canberra’s diplomatic corps.
