6 Nicolas Baudin Grant Laureates have been selected [fr]
The 2015 Nicolas Baudin Grant Laureates have been selected. Six Australian undergraduate and postgraduate students will receive the $2300 travel grant that aims to support their studies in France.
The grant recipients were selected on a range of criteria, notably including the excellence of their academic grades, continuous links with France and the French language, and how their study or research project fits with their career plans. In light of the upcoming Paris Climate Conference (Cop21) that is to be held in Paris from 30 November to 11 December 2015, the jury placed a particular focus on study projects relating to environmental issues.
The Nicolas Baudin scholarship is eponymously named after the famous French explorer and botanical voyager who, in 1802, at the same time as Matthew Flinders, charted the coast of New Holland (Australia).
